ISR 1 (Inside Sales Representative I)

Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative 1 (ISR1) is responsible for answering customer calls, issuing orders received via telephone, fax, mail, and web and processing through the Crest Business Management System. The ISR1 works in conjunction with multiple departments to handle customer inquiries and order processing. The ISR1 will represent Crest in a professional manner and be a strong advocate for the customer while maximizing sales at every opportunity.
 
Location:
Remote hybrid work. Must live within 60 miles of the office in Dassel, MN.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for handling incoming calls and assisting each customer by placing their order or answering any question that they may have. All calls will be conducted in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Responsible for processing phone, fax, mail, and web customer requests.
  • Responsible for acquiring and retaining product knowledge about the Crest product line. This includes the ability to organize distributed information about products and changes to products. The ISR1 will be responsible for using this product knowledge to assist customers in decisions regarding the most appropriate product to meet their needs while maximizing sales. The ISR1 will involve Technical Support as needed.
  • Advise customers about the current Crest promotions when appropriate and attempt to convert every customer interaction to a sale. Offer alternate products when current stock or lead times may be an issue, and complementary products when appropriate and in an effort to up-sell each and every order.
  • Place outgoing sales calls to new and/or existing customers for the purpose of generating sales.
  • Responsible for special projects as directed by the Director of Provider Sales. Depending on the project, may be temporarily relieved of phone duties to complete the project.
  • Accurately process all necessary electronic and paper forms to complete customer transactions. These forms include but are not limited to orders, sources, price quotes, customer comments, and customer account updates.
  • Provide pricing and formal quotes with timely follow up, both from incoming phone calls and customer requests forwarded from within the department. Gain all appropriate approvals for quotes over $5k.
  • The ISR1 will conference all customer calls for complaints, returns, or repairs to ISR2s for processing.
  • Meet or exceed all individual and team goals such as: order volume, accuracy, average order size, sales initiatives, company revenue, and customer service call statistics.
  • Active participation in Sales Team Meeting discussions and group activities. ISR1 will arrive on time and keep discussions on task.
  • Keep space clean and always organized.
  • Maintain a professional tone and manner to internal and external customers and co-workers.
  • Be a solid team player and a customer advocate.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in cubicle setting.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Provider Sales.
Education and Experience
  • One year’s call center experience; preferably in a business-to-business capacity.
  • One year’s sales experience; preferably in a business-to-business capacity.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven up-selling/cross selling ability.
  • Experience with customer service/sales skills involving problem solving; use of reference tools.
  • Extensive experience with MS Windows and MS Office.
  • Must demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills as well as effective listening skills.
